Early this morning when we got to the hosptial
Today was a great day in the hospital. The Dr's came by and said that he did great through out the night! So he was ready to be moved! We got moved to a regular room early this morning and we have been hanging out ever since.
Trying to read a book, but not wanting to turn his head!
First time sitting up 'kinda on his own'
Trying to hold himself up, but leaning to one side!
My favorite picture so far, how cute is he?
(No, not Brad, I'm talking about Avery!)
During our walks we got to meet some cool new friends, we meet 'dog' (whose name was actually 'Goldie' but I think Avery liked 'dog' better. We met Mr. Ty, who is the music therapist here at the Children's hospital, he waled with us a few times, encouraging Avery to keep wlaking, and sang songs to Avery, then we got back into our room, and he let Avery help play the guitar, and sang again for him.
We have met some kids and families here also, who have such sad, and amazing stories, it is so hard to imagine one of your kids, having to be in here for so long, that this becomes their second home. We joke with the fact that Avery has had as many surgeries as he has had, that most of the staff know us, but it is a sad fact, that some of these families, live here, and some never get to take their babies home again. Please lift them up also, as your praying for us and Avery tonight, we are so blessed, we have a wonderful, healthy little man, who is a FIGHTER! But most of all, we have a wonderful amazing God who is faithful, who we continually offer praise to for the blessings in our life!
Make a joyful noise to the LORD, all the earth!
Serve the LORD with gladness! Come into his presence with singing! Know that the LORD, he is God! It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise! Give thanks to him; bless his name! For the LORD is good; his steadfast love endures forever, and his faithfulness to all generations.

God is awesome and Avery is amazing! I can't believe he is already up and walking today. God Bless all of you. I also know what you mean when you talk of all the children in there. When we spent 23 days at UNC it was like that there too. It is heartbreaking to see some of the kids who end up living at the hospital. We are so blessed to have been able to bring our miracle home. We will continue to pray for a speedy and complete recovery. I can't wait to see him at church again. Love in Christ, Angela and Joel
